At a press conference in Budapest, Parliamentary State Secretary László Szabó stated that: “Nowadays a new international order is taking shape, in which China and the Asian countries are the future”.
The Parliamentary State Secretary was speaking at a meeting organised by the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries.
With regard to the new international order, Mr. Szabó said that the aim of China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative is to connect a rapidly developing Eastern Asia with the Middle East, Africa and Europe. This is parallel with the goals of Hungarian foreign policy (“Eastward Opening”), he said.
