After his meeting with the foreign representatives of the Visegrád Group, South Korea and Japan in Luxembourg on Thursday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó emphasised that it is certain that Central Europe will be the engine of European growth, because structural reforms have resulted a competitive investment environment.
Increasing competition for eastern capital is taking place in Europe, because it is no longer flowing from West to East in search of cheaper labour, but job-creating investments are coming from East to West. Eastern investors are looking for places where skilled labour is available, the Minister said.
"Our country is especially good in this respect, because seven Japanese companies are already our strategic partners and South Korean companies employ approximately twenty-five thousand people", said Mr. Szijjártó.
According to the Minister, the Visegrád region represents a market of 65 million people, in which an industrious and skilled workforce is available at lower cost than in Western Europe.
