‘Hungarian agriculture is one of the fastest growing agrarian sectors in Europe, and in the last 8 years it has grown by over fifty percent and created more than 70,000 jobs”, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas said at the launch of a publication by the Alliance for Hungarian Agriculture.
“Hungary has great expectations with regard to future negotiations on the post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The country’s goal is for the new CAP to favour all European agricultural producers, and through the high quality and healthy foods they produce to also favour all citizens of the European Union”, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Minister of State for Public Administration Andrea Gulyás said following a session of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council on 11 December in Brussels.
“The Ministry of Agriculture regards supporting cooperation, forging relations and knowledge transfer between farmers in Hungary and Hungarian farmers abroad as something of key importance”, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas declared in his speech at the 6th Carpathian Basin Solidarity Forum.
Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas and Vice Governor of the People’s Republic of China’s Henan Province Wang Tie held talks in Budapest on developing scientific cooperation, the transposition of agricultural practices, and Hungary’s settlement development results.

“In addition to expanding cooperation with China’s provinces and developing scientific cooperation, opportunities for several other forms of agricultural cooperation will also become available as a result of high-level Hungarian-Chinese negotiations”, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas declared.
“During the past five years Hungary has increased its agricultural exports to China by a factor of ten, and our goal is to assure that other products are also given a chance to appear on the market”, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas stressed following a meeting with the head of China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping.
