Hungary is guest of honour at the Warsaw Food Expo 2017 international food industry fair that opened in Nadarzyn on Thursday, and which this year was organised to coincide with the meeting of Visegrád Group (V4) agriculture ministers and the relative ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia.
At the official opening ceremony of the Expo, head of the Hungarian delegation Deputy Minister of Agriculture István Nagy highlighted the important role of funding provided to the agriculture sector in international cooperation.
In his speech, Polish Minister of Agriculture Krzysztof Jurgiel emphasised: the Polish presidency of the V4, which lasts until the end of July, has striven to develop constructive requirements with relation to the future of the European Union’s Common Agricultural policy (CAP), in representation of our region.
The Common Agricultural Policy will also be on the agenda of the V4 + 3 summit on Friday.
Some 300 exhibitors are showcasing their products on 25 thousand square metres of floor space at the Warsaw Food Expo, which is being held at the Conference Centre in Nadarzyn, near Warsaw, including several Hungarian wine cellars and pálinka distilleries, in addition to which the Hungarian National Trading House also has its own stand.
