The effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus has entered a new phase, Minister of State for International Communication and Relations Zoltán Kovács said after the Tuesday meeting of the Operational Group.
In a video message posted on his Facebook account, the head of the communications task force said the Operational Group responsible for the containment of the coronavirus infection had a meeting attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at 6.00 a.m.
At the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments and available data which confirm that today the spread of the virus has entered a new phase despite the measures taken to contain it, he said.
He added that every morning they review the latest data, and identify proposals and specific actions necessary in light of the situation.
“We are working to serve the Hungarian people’s health and the protection of Hungarian people’s lives to the fullest possible extent and with the most effective means,” Mr Kovács stated.
