“There are several issues with relation to which we must clearly redraw the line between Member State sovereignty and the spheres of competence of Brussels institutions”, the Government Spokesperson highlighted on M1 television’s Thursday evening current affairs program.

Zoltán Kovács stressed: “There are already two examples of the European Union changing the decisions of its Prime Ministers”. “The quota package is also an the agenda of mid-October’s Central European Summit, although under a different name; they want to distribute the masses of migrants that have accumulated in certain parts of Europe on a mandatory basis according to a crisis management procedure mechanism”.

“The plan to reform the European border protection system, Frontex, is also about developing a uniform decision-making mechanism for European border protection, which would centralise decision-making in Brussels instead of in Member States”, he added.

“In addition, there are also efforts to unify the care system, which would determine what uniform care people who are relocated in Europe would receive, irrespective of the country in question”, explained the Government Spokesperson, according to whom they are trying to create several mechanisms in which they would bring decisions in place of Member States and their citizens.

“Taking action to prevent these is a national issue”, Mr. Kovács said, according to whom “This is a decision that could determine the future of certain member states and the whole of Europe for generations to come”.
