“If a plan is endangering Hungary’s future and security, the Hungarian people team up to take action against it together with the Government”, Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson said on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday morning current affairs program.
“People received the National Consultation questionnaire by 10 November, and 1.1 million people have already filled them out, meaning there is a very high level of interest”, Mr. Tuzson said. “The Hungarians are correct that when we are talking about a vital issue that affects the country and its future, then we must take a stand on that issue”, he explained.
The Minister of State also announced that the Government will be launching a telephone information campaign on the National Consultation, which he explained with the fact that the Hungarian people must receive up-to-date information on important events.
With regard to the countrywide roadshow to promote the Consultation, Mr. Tuzson said that it is at these events that the Government can best determine whether it is travelling the right path.
The Minister of State said it was strange that which people agree on action to stop the Soros Plan and in migration, the political parties had not established a national unity on the issue. As he explained, the Fidesz-KDNP coalition has an extremely firm standpoint on the issue and the Government has introduced the requires border security measures accordingly, but the other right and left wing parties are saying that the Soros Plan doesn’t even exist and that the question of migration isn’t particularly important.
It would be justified for the other political parties to also back the Government and the Hungarian people on such an important issue “because we can only take very determined action together”, Mr. Tuzson declared.
