Over half a million people have filled out and sent in their National Consultation questionnaires, most of them by post.
Speaking on Hungarian M1 television on Friday evening, Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson also said that the data was being tallied and a more precise number would be available on Saturday.
The Minister of State stressed that the opinion of every Hungarian is important and called on every citizen to take part in the Consultation, which according to Mr. Tuzson concerns key issues that will affect the future of Hungary.
Mr. Tuzson said the Fidesz countrywide roadshow on the National Consultation was an important instrument, and that it is essential for direct dialogue to develop with the public at these forums.
The Consultation once again centres on migration-related topics, in view of the fact that all attacks are “derived” from these, the Minister of State said, adding that the reduction in public utility charges is also an important element and must be protected to prevent it from being “dismantled” from abroad.
Mr. Tuzson explained that the Government is continuing its policy of tax reductions, but that this is something that many in Brussels are not happy about.
According to the Minister of State, it is not right that EU leaders are holding discussions with George Soros, a man who “made his fortune through financial speculation”.
