The government is releasing new information films with the underlying main message that due to the coronavirus epidemic, social meetings must be minimised, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister said in a video message posted on his Facebook account on Wednesday.
The epidemic has reached the stage where we must minimise social meetings. This is necessary because the virus is spreading fast, and “the most we can do is slow it down,” Csaba Dömötör said.
Therefore, the government is releasing new information films on television channels and on the Internet. They relay the message that larger social gatherings must be avoided, and everyone must keep a minimum distance of one to two metres from one another, the State Secretary said.
He stressed that if possible, all programmes other than small family meetings should be postponed. They are also asking people to only leave their homes if they go to work, shopping or to help others.
“We know that these are difficult decisions and involve sacrifices, but this is the only way we can avoid overloading the health care system. If we make these decisions, we can save lives,” the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister said.
